Census 2011 of Naguar District of Rajasthan

Nagaur District Population 2011
In 2011, Nagaur had population of 3,307,743 of which male and female were 1,696,325 and 1,611,418 respectively. In 2001 census, Nagaur had a population of 2,775,058 of which males were 1,424,967 and remaining 1,350,091 were females. Nagaur District population constituted 4.83 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Nagaur District was at 4.91 percent of Maharashtra population.

There was change of 19.20 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, Nagaur District recorded increase of 26.65 percent to its population compared to 1991.

The initial provisional data released by census India 2011, shows that density of Nagaur district for 2011 is 187 people per sq. km. In 2001, Nagaur district density was at 157 people per sq. km. Nagaur district administers 17,718 square kilometers of areas.


Nagaur Literacy Rate 2011
Average literacy rate of Nagaur in 2011 were 62.80 compared to 57.28 of 2001. If things are looked out at gender wise, male and female literacy were 77.17 and 47.82 respectively. For 2001 census, same figures stood at 74.10 and 39.67 in Nagaur District. Total literate in Nagaur District were 1,758,624 of which male and female were 1,102,750 and 655,874 respectively.
